The aim of this task was to create a reaction animation to the 2024 Superbowl Winner (Bengals @ Eagles), to post on Betway Canada's social channels. The animation/Video is able to cater for both outcomes of the match. The aim of the post is to generate engagement with our audience in the form of Likes, Shares & Comments.
The video creation process started with basic storyboarding and research for the project. then I set about gathering and organising assets. I downloaded stock footage, imagery and the sound effects needed. Once these assets were ready I imported them into After Effects and organised them into folders.
Next, I created the composition. This involved arranging the assets, applying effects, and editing the timeline. Once the composition was finalised I output some renders for Instagram. Each social media platform has specific dimensions and codecs, so renders are created accordingly. In this instance it was for Instagram (1:1) so square videos were produced.
Finally, the renders are uploaded to the respective social media platforms. I find with well-structured files, efficient renders, and carefully curated assets, the process of creating social media videos using After Effects becomes streamlined and effective.
